My Mexican Vacation
I just arrived back to New York after a beautiful vacation in Mexico . I saw Cancun, Chichen Itza , Tulum and Isla Mujeres ! What I saw during those few days was truly breathtaking . Paradise ! I have never seen such stunning turquoise water. Overall A++ trip
A warning to future travelers ...beware of rental car companies . We almost got scammed from THRIFTY ! We ended up renting from HERTZ and since I trusted the company I didn't check certain aspects of the car before driving away with it . I did the usual walk around inspection for bumps , dents and scratches ... But honestly does anyone really test the WINDSHIELD wipers before hand , or check to see if the GAS CAP is there , or check if the SPARE TIRE has holes??? CRAZY STUFF they almost made us pay for all 3 things !!! The rest of the trip was great and I definitely recommend getting a car to go around with (from a reputable company )cause you can see so much more and don't have to wait at the bus stop in the sweltering heat like all the other tourists ! We cruised around with our mini car ..air conditioned ...ahhhh. The trip to Chichen Itza was a bit long and for miles all we saw was vultures and forest on both sides. Make sure you gas up before leaving cancun because there is no gas ...no anything for MILES!!!!!!!!! However , after the drive you arrive to a stunning meraviglia del mondo ! IL CASTILLO ... really something to be seen in a lifetime. YOu might die of a heat stroke ...but at least you will have seen it . hahah
We then drove down to TULUM and as the picture shows another stunning view with mayan ruins overlooking the ocean. The best part of the trip was going to Isla Mujeres where we rented a golf cart and drove the entire island. We had lunch on a cliff at Punta sur and what a romantic stunning view. We then went snorkeling and bathing off of Playa del norte.. SOO MUCH FUN !! I definitely want to go back !!
